Finding Home (In Progress)

Yes, I know it sounds like I’m saying I’ve been living in China for thirty years in this video. I misspoke!

We are currently soliciting pledges to help us finance and film Finding Home. Join the over 100 people who have already donated. We will continue accepting donations throughout the filming process to cover our travel costs and post-production expenses.

We can easily accept donations in USD or RMB, online (via paypal) or offline (via bank transfer to a US or Chinese bank account, or in person if you happen to live in Beijing). Your name will be listed in the end credits of the film. You will also be given exclusive access to to a monthly production diary detailing the progress of the film and telling interesting stories that may not make it into the film.

All of the above, AND… exclusive access to behind-the-scenes photos and production skills

GIVE $50 OR MORE
All of the above, AND… exclusive access to selected uncut video footage before the film’s release, and a DVD copy of the movie.

All of the above, AND…You will also receive a DVD of the finished film, signed by the director and accompanied by a personal thank you letter.

All of the above, AND…the privilege of being informed about interviews before they happen. For each major interview, you may email the director one question which will be translated into Chinese and asked to the subject during the interview. The subject’s answer may not make it into the final film, but you will receive access to the uncut footage. (note, in some cases where interview subjects are on a rushed timetable, this may not be possible)

ALL of the above, AND…You get everything listed above, but instead of being listed under “thanks”, you will receive an executive “producer” credit for the film. Should you ever visit Beijing, you’ll get a free dinner out with the film’s director, and a chance to meet some of the film’s subjects (pending their consent, of course).

GIVE $750 OR MORE
Wow. You get everything listed above, plus periodic personalized updates from the director on the progress of the film, and the right to schedule skype conversations with the director to make suggestions, comment on footage you’ve seen, or offer constructive criticism.

GIVE $1,000 OR MORE
You are amazing. You get ALL of the above, PLUS…the ability to see a premiere of the film before its release AND record a DVD commentary track that will be included on all DVD copies of the film.
