One might say that this part of Cambodia is criminally underrated, as it definitely needs a lot more love – because it definitely deserves it.

Due to Cambodia’s location and perfect climate, it the home to innumerable amazing species of animals. It’s quite easy to spot many of Cambodia’s unique species of wildlife, and there’s even the Phnom Tamao Rescue Center, which is found on the outskirts of the capital, has taken charge to protect the animals from harm. Countless species, like tigers, rhinos, elephants, and many, many more are saved from poachers, and then rehabilitated so that they can be released back to the wilds.

Fascinating Culture

The peoples of Cambodia have lived there for centuries. They’re an old nation, one with great historical pride, but that has not changed their inherent friendly nature. Interacting with locals is a treat all on its own, as it can easily be the highlight to any visit to Cambodia. The people of the country have endured hard and difficult times in the past, so one of the best ways to see Cambodia from the inside, is by volunteering at GVI and help make this great country into an amazing one. It’s safe to say that Cambodian culture is one of the world’s most unique ones, and any interaction with it has the potential to be downright amazing.

Cambodia as country is unique, in that it’s a country that’s still growing and evolving, but what’s already there is beautiful. Its beauty is quite apparent from up close, and once you personally see it, you’ll never want to forget about it.
